# Cookieless tracking script 🇪🇺

Run DataFast without cookies for visitor IDs — a GDPR-friendly option when you want to avoid cookie banners for analytics.

### Cookieless script 🍪

You can now load a **cookieless** version of the tracker (`/js/script.cookieless.js`) instead of the default script. It does not use cookies for visitor identification, which helps if you want to avoid a cookie banner for DataFast in many EU-style setups.

**Already using DataFast?** Turning this on is **not** a free swap. Visitor IDs rotate more often, so **multi-day journeys and revenue attribution are less accurate** than with the default script. The [**User**](/content/changelog/goal-tracking/index.html) and [**Journey**](/content/changelog/goal-tracking/index.html) tabs are **not available** in cookieless mode. If **revenue attribution** is central to how you run your business, **we do not recommend** switching — keep the default script unless you have a strong privacy or compliance reason.
